Evidence of Spring....

Spring is here. Along with the flowers to add a little color at Russell Street, we have been busy planting a vegetable garden. For most of you that know me, I am born and bred a "city slicker" from the beginning. In about 70 days, we will be looking forward to tomatoes (3 varieties), okra, egg plant, pole beans, peppers (2 varieties), squash, cucumbers and soon to be planted zuchini! The dirt turned out to be dark and rich. What a nice surprise that turned out to be. The progress will be fun to monitor. Bring on the rain! Oh did I say flowers?

The first event at Russell Street...

Today marked the first event for friends and family at Russell Street. This week, Mom will celebrate her 70th birthday. It just seemed appropriate that the first event here be a celebration of life and family and friends. How grateful I am to so many people for such a great day. First of all, thanks to Mom and Dad for being wonderful parents. Thanks to great support from the family for being here today for Mom. Thanks to all of the hard work from great and incredible friends like Ben, James, and Hazel. It would not have been such a success without your help. I have always said this is a "Family House!" Today is the first of many to come. Enjoy!
