The Heat Side of Summer
In the midst of almost 100 degree temperatures, the guys at 242 N. Russell are unstoppable. They continue to chisel, dig, demolish, uncover, and tear down to get the house to the bare bones. Alot has already been learned from the demo. It appears the house went through an addition and renovation in 1974. Exterior walls suddenly became interior walls with the addition of what used to be the kitchen. Insulation was a non-event back in the day, so with the tear down of that dark, 70's style paneling, it was discovered that nothing was insulated. Under David's advisement, the house will be insulated and brought up to speed to better prepare for the heat that we are now experiencing and the cold that will follow.
